So the experiment begins and week one will be paper. I have dug to a jotter note pad as I seemed to have accumulated many over the years from a variety of stationary cupboards across the land and this will be primary method of brain dumping. However as a back up I have a mini white board and some post-it notes placed around so if the pad is not close by then I have something to make quick notes, reminders and tasks on. Maybe I should have a fancy moleskin bound proper note book as purveyed but all the gtd gurus, but for the moment I am using what is to hand which also ties in a bit with the minimalism kick or is it the down-sizing methodology 🙂
So what is the point and how can one measure this. Well for me it is about focusing on what makes me the most effective. Measuring; I am sure I can find lots of informative ways of achieving this from the internet but for me it will come down to tasks completed by the end of the day/week. Many including my family will wonder why I am doing this or more importantly why I am bothering to do it but I see it as a way to be able to get the crap done and then live life in a way that I have not been able to do before, i.e. have fun. I am hoping to prove that the old saying “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks” wrong in my case and like many things you are never too old to start or so “they” say
So heres to day one and thats a big healthy tick next to write blog post to get me started.
